Mureka documents stem and MIDI exports. Check the workflow and model being used: available output formats differ between features.

Separate Studio from API capabilities

The Mureka feature overview describes audio and MIDI exports. Its stem API documentation distinguishes models with different MIDI support. An API capability does not establish the same control in every application plan.

Identify your interface, visible options and intended output before extraction. Keep the original and do not overwrite the source version.

Check the audio tracks

  1. Store the reference mix and separated tracks together.
  2. Import stems at a common starting point.
  3. Check automatic stretching and project tempo.
  4. Listen to the combined stems, then solo them.
  5. Mark vocal residue, duplicates and shifted attacks.

Do not independently trim leading silence before this check. A placement error can resemble a separation-engine defect.

Check MIDI transcription

Load MIDI onto an instrument track. Compare pitch, octave, duration and timing with the source stem. Correct obvious errors before quantizing or choosing a complex sound.

WAV stores audio; MIDI does not preserve the original timbre. Retain both if returning to the reference performance matters.

Prepare the final mix

Check vocals and highs after recombination, then measure levels and peaks. A file extension does not certify lossless quality throughout the source’s history. Mastering follows the choice of arrangement; it does not replace repairing a missing word.
